Childhood Cravings and a Weird Crush

Why hello there, bloggy friends!  Are the rest of you freezing cold in your homes obsessively watching Criminal Minds?  No?  Just me?  Ok.  I turned off the AC, so that's a start.  The TV on the other hand.. well, it's staying on.  I physically can't shut it off.  I have a problem.

Anyway, I did something today that I have never done before.  And I did it for you.

I took a picture of breakfast.  At work.

Do you know how ridiculous it feels to take a picture of your food at your desk?  But it looked especially delicious this morning, plus I am obsessed with this meal right now so there will be no need for more breakfast pics till I change the obsession :)  Anyway, that would be vanilla Chobani, Bear Naked granola with dried fruit, fresh strawberries and fresh blackberries.  I can't get enough of this, I think I could eat it all day if I let myself.

Speaking of things I can eat all day, I ate (what else) a bagel for lunch.  No pictures, I'm sure you are bagel-pictured-out at this point.  However, dinner was another bagel.  Between my repetitive TV watching and food eating, you must think I am SOO boring.  I jazzed this one up a little though and turned it into a tuna melt.

Albacore tuna, tomato slice, swiss cheese

I seem to be having cravings for childhood foods lately... cinnamon toast, homemade mac and cheese, spaghetti, and now tuna melts.  All my favorite childhood foods, I wonder if this has anything to do with my trip home next week?  Yep, I am going home for 5 days to NY next week.  I'm excited, but sad that it can't be for longer.  I heard that my brother's new girlfriend is a fabulous healthy cook, so I'm looking forward to letting someone cook for me!

The update on the doggy meetup is a little surprising.  But then again, just when I think she knows Molly, she turns it around on me.  Don't get me wrong, she had a full out red zone 10 minutes moment.  She lunged, fur flew off her back, she crouched, she jumped.....  and then she stopped.  She stopped.  She sat down, chilled out, and started looking around at other things.  The vet tech who was with us said her body language was really good, her tail was wagging in a friendly manner and her ears were down.  Its like part of her wants to play, but the protective, jealous part wants to fight.  We didn't let them get too close today for the simple fact that poor Ripley is literally 1/3 the size of Molly and a lot more relaxed, but tomorrow a muzzle that was ordered by the vet comes in.  It's a basket muzzle, which means she can still open her mouth, she can drink water, etc, but her jaws are covered in the basket so she can't bite.  We are going to continue the meetups throughout the weekend and reevaluate then.

Anyway, I have to get back to Criminal Minds now.  Does anyone else have an out of nowhere crush on Reid?  I should be more of a Morgan fan, but for some reason, it's Reid all the way.

The heart wants what it wants.  I don't question these things.  Good night loves!

I eat so many of the same things too. I love them though so it makes me happy and works for me.

Haha, no worries about the repetitive foods- I do too. Seriously- I'm sooo predictable it's almost ridiculous :) Yogurt mess everyday for lunch, some kind of egg whites for breakfast, & the dinner is usually different though.

I hate to admit it, but I kinda see what you mean about Reid...
